About the Davis Cup

The Davis Cup, a team knock-out tournament, run by the International Tennis Federation (ITF) and Kosmos Holding, was named after American collegian Dwight Filley Davis. Fed Cup is the women’s equivalent of the Davis Cup, which was initially called the International Lawn Tennis Trophy.

10 countries will compete at the Davis Cup finals from November 18 to 24, 2020. 24 nations will compete in the March Qualifiers for the 12 final places on March 6 and 7, 2020. These matches will be played in 12 different cities. The 12 winners of these matches will join the six teams that have secured their places in the 2019 Davis Cup finals, the four semi-finalists of 2019 (Spain, Canada, Great Britain, and Russia) and the two wild cards (France and Serbia) for the finals that will be held between 23 and 29 November 2020.
